The annual premier yoga event, Global Mala Project Manila 2020, will be back this September and it will not just be ONLINE; it will be FREE as well!
The Global Mala Project is the largest unified worldwide yoga event in history dedicated (to) promoting positive change in the world. It brings together people who “share the same values of mindful living, sustainable practices, and collective consciousness.”
I first wrote about the Global Mala Project in 2007. Global Mala Project Manila was brought to the Philippines in that year by Teresa Herrera-Anthony whose mentor was Shiva Rae, the founder of the Global Mala Project. Each year since then, yoga teachers and yogis from all over the country have come together for a whole day of classes, lectures, dancing, music, and so much more.
With many events going online these days, it is no surprise that Global Mala Project Manila 2020 is doing the same. And this time, it spans 2 days, September 19-20, 2020. I can just imagine what preparations are going on behind the scenes!
Global Mala Project Manila 2020 partners with Save the Children Philippines. Donations will support Project ARAL (Access to Resources for Alternative Learning) which “aims to help children from poor communities all over the Philippines to continue learning amid the pandemic by providing them access to learning methods in online/ digital and broadcast platforms.”
I will update this post once the schedules and teachers are announced.
Check out the yoga classes for both days.
The event is FREE this year, which makes it more accessible to more people. Claim your spot now. Register HERE.
